How did you get involved in MRC?
Was asked to join when I was a student, when the Club was first forming a Colts team in approximately 1961.
What makes you stay in rugby?
It has been most rewarding, whether on or off the field. Helping on work parties, coaching juniors, on committees or supporting events. Plus the great friendship within the Club keep me returning.
Biggest achievement/proudest moment in rugby:
Being asked to be Chairman and run the Manchester Wanderers having been very forthright, regarding the demise of our Amateur teams during the “Professional” era and wishing to retain our Amateur players. Going on to win the Henry Shield in 2003.
Vision for the future of Manchester Rugby Club:
TO BE ONE CLUB
What do you do away from rugby?
Enjoy photography and photo work on the computer. Other computing works and gardening.

Pet peeve: Holding doors open and people walking through without a thank you!
Advice for new players: The more you put into rugby on and off the field, the more you will enjoy and help support your Club.
Advice for those wanting to volunteer: Everything you can do and offer is most rewarding. Plus you are helping to keep your Club alive as volunteers are in short supply these days.
