Welcome to the under 7s page!

The under 7s team are made up of boys and girls who will be in year 2 at school in September 2024. We train on Sunday mornings on Tag City (behind the supporters stand on the main pitch). Our training sessions are ran by experienced coaches and are designed to be fun and playful, whilst incorporating rugby skills such as passing, catching and running. We aim to develop the childrens understanding of the rules and concept of the game, whilst building their confidence and fitness. At this age, we play completely non-contact, instead using vecro tags to 'tackle'.

Throughout the season, when not training, we play matches against other local clubs. We do not track the scores of the games, we aim more to focus on the children enjoying themselves and developing their skills, whilst building friendships with their team mates. We always strive to give each child a fair share of game time and runs with the ball.

All children are welcomed into the squad, regardless of ability or experience. We allow players to recognise their strengths and encourage them to help develop their team mates. We ensure that the children understand and follow Rugby's five core values - Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline, Sportsmanship.
