As part of the Change24 program and fund raising we committed to using the funds raised to make significant improvements to our current facilities. We are now very excited to announce that over the week commencing 3rd February the floodlights covering both Training Pitches will be upgraded to new better LEDs lights. The current lights have served us well over the last 12 years but are coming to the end of their useful life and will start costing us more every year, Halogen lamps are also not very power efficient. The LEDs will also provide a more consistent lighting wash over the whole area. This change also us allows us to move the floodlights on to mains power and we will no longer be reliant on the ailing generator. The LEDs use less power, are better for the environment and with us decommissioning the generator there will be no messy diesel onsite as well, and no random breakdowns halfway through a Training session. The new lights will work on simple switches, and we will be more easily able to light different areas as opposed to having to light the whole area all the time. This is another amazing project to come from our Change24 fundraising push and the hard work the whole club put into that last year.
