Six counties were asked to nominate players for the recent trials at West Park Leeds RUFC. Cheshire RFU nominated five of Manchester’s players, all of whom were successful against trialists from Cumbria, Durham, Lancashire, Northumberland and Yorkshire.

Jess Gurney, Emily Houghton, Hannah Johnson and Amy Lees were selected for the Under 18 Girls, while Jess Johnson joined her sister in the RFUW Divisional programme when she was awarded a place in the Under 15 squad.

This is a tremendous achievement for the girls and the coaches at Manchester. Nine players have already represented the County this season, with most of them now having been recognized by the RFU's Divisional selectors as well.
